Since 2005, Aubury & Co has been a trusted name in interior design across Northumberland and beyond. What started as a vision has grown into a practice defined by dedication, expertise, and a genuine love of creating beautiful, functional living spaces.

Over two decades of excellence

Aubury & Co was founded on the belief that every home deserves thoughtful, considered design. Over the past 23 years, we have had the privilege of working with clients to transform their spaces, whether a single room refresh or a complete whole-house redesign.

Lauren

Partner & Principal Designer

Lauren trained at the Inchbald School of Design in London and spent several years inside two established London studios before returning North. Close to a decade on, she brings a considered, detail-driven way of working to every project, most of it full-scale residential, scoped and specified from first conversation through to final styling, in close collaboration with architects and builders at every stage. A quiet confidence with colour, particularly rich greens and deep oranges, sits alongside a habit of gently walking clients a step further than they first thought they would go. The result tends to be bold but not restless, held in panelling, considered proportion, and the kind of detail that reads as timeless rather than of a moment.

Cheryl

Founder & Principal Designer

Cheryl founded Aubury and has spent more than twenty five years in property and interior design. She moved into design full-time after her own home styling became sought after by friends and clients, and has built Aubury on a reputation for elegant, considered homes across the North East. She has a long-held instinct for how people actually live in a room, which corners sit empty and which become the heart of the house, and that reading runs through every project she touches. With a keen eye for detail and an ever-evolving style, Cheryl draws constantly from travel, fashion, and the unique materials she sources across the globe, pulling them back into projects here with a restraint that lets a home feel layered rather than styled.

Charity

A Second Life for Good Pieces

We take our clients' furniture and place it in a better home.

We are committed to giving back to our community by helping to rehome quality furniture where it's needed most.

Pieces have gone to households across the North East: families beginning again, those in safe houses, young people in hostel accommodation, and charitable organisations working in our region. Anything glass is difficult to move safely, and very large pieces often cannot be accommodated in the smaller homes most recipients are moving into. Everything else we welcome with gratitude.

It is not our main service, but it is a big part of how we work going forward. It is something we will always offer. Once a piece has found its new home, we come back to you and share where it has gone.
